As with any activity, a basic level of fitness is preferred but not essential as Lisa and Liesa are always able to manage groups fast or slow so that no-one ever gets left behind, thus ensuring everybody gets maximum enjoyment at their own pace. The biking tracks are mostly along forestry trails in Pennal Forest, which include some easy wide single tracks. The walks are moderate forestry and hill routes with easy terrain although some of you may find some sections a wee bit strenuous, but just take your time and soak up the breathtaking views that abound round every corner, hill and mountain. For those that want something more adventurous, there is Cadair Idris for the walkers and the cli-machx route for the bikers, both guaranteed to get the endorphins and adrenaline flowing. Remember: it’s your activity holiday so you choose the type of activity pace that suits you. Julie and Linda, the friendly and very talented couple who own and run Welsh Retreat, both delight in sharing their beautiful and very private corner of Wales. Julie and Linda also host various activity workshops holidays and retreats including: Yoga and Meditation, Tai Chi, Qigong Healing and Meditation, Drumming and Percussion, Discovering Your Creativity, Massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Voice Work and Relaxation to name but a few. Many of these workshops and activities take place in their Studio which is a large space that enjoys north light that makes it ideal for artists, and because of its excellent acoustics (and because there are no near neighbours) a fabulous music rehearsal space.
