Miners Cottage from its elevated position overlooks Margam Valley and Mountains, making it a great base from which to explore the beauty of the South Wales Coast together with the Brecon Beacons National Park, and Swansea with the gay night life that it is famed for is within easy reach. Ruth, the friendly owner, has lovingly restored Miners Cottage to a very high standard with three pretty bedrooms: double, twin and single. The bathroom is just gorgeous, and was inspired by the industry of South Wales designed by Ruth in 'Slate and Steel' with slate floors, double-ended bath, walk-in power-shower and the adjustable mood lighting makes it a perfect place to unwind. There is a modern kitchen and dining room with a beautiful slate floor, fridge and freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washer-dryer; in fact it would appear that Ruth has thought of everything! The cottage sleeps five but you could sit ten at the dining table so why not invite some friends back! The spacious lounge has beautiful maple floor, comfy sofa, chairs, TV, DVD player and a brilliant sound system, so bring all your favourite discs. There’s also lots of great interactive games stashed away for those giggly holiday nights that we all enjoy at least once on holiday after a fabulous day at the beach followed by a great meal and a few glasses of something special. There is also a pretty enclosed private garden with patio furniture – great for barbecues. |
