Gay Lesbian Friendly Country Hotel, Inn and Restaurant North Wales
The West Arms Gay Lesbian Friendly Inn Hotel and Restaurant, Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog, Llangollen, North Wales

www.thewestarms.com

The West Arms Hotel rests peacefully in the sleepy village of Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog near Llangollen and whilst parts of this beautiful old building date back to the 1500’s it did not open its doors as an hotel until 1670 and has been providing, food, drink and accommodation to the weary traveller ever since. The West Arms is everything an old inn should be. In the summer months the heady scent of wisteria greets you and in the colder seasons the warm spice of crackling logs all add to the wonderful olde worlde atmosphere that just drifts effortlessly amongst the low-beamed ceilings, undulating floors, settles, inglenooks and braced latched doors. There is a rare honesty here at The West Arms; you see all of the modern facilities and restorations have been carried out sympathetically without detriment to this fine building and its long distinguished heritage. The patron chef is the delightful, talented and very friendly Grant Williams who has plied his trade as a master chef in kitchens around the world and has appeared on many TV cookery programmes, and has even cooked for HRH Prince Charles. Grant produces his menus with an astonishing passion and care using local produce whenever possible. Meals can be taken either in the restaurant or round the blaze of the log fire in the cosy bar
. As you can imagine the food here is seriously good and has won more awards than you can shake a stick at. The West Arms features seven en-suite character rooms including a romantic four-poster, plus a further eight rooms with bath and hand shower facilities. The West Arms Hotel is licensed for civil ceremonies and is just perfect for a country style wedding; imagine wonderful food with some of the finest views of the Welsh hills as a background for your wedding photographs. The West Arms is quintessentially the perfect Welsh country inn.
